Will 2016 be the year you finally live your life purpose? Or will you spend yet another year being miserable in a job you either hate or just don’t enjoy? Will you spend another year feeling unfulfilled? The years fly by very quickly especially as we grow older. In Tolstoy’s story The Death of Ivan Ilyich Ivan is on his deathbed and he turns to his wife and says “What if my whole life has been wrong?” and then dies. How sad to have spent a whole life like that. What do you think you need to do or have that will finally rocket you out of your malaise? You can keep coming up with excuse after excuse to yourself for justifying that you need to stay as you are in order to keep your partner happy or your parents happy or anyone else happy, but let me tell you this; keeping other people happy won’t make you happy! It is your life and it is up to you to live it fully. Your life is meant to be a joyous, exciting adventure, not a monotonous unhappy existence. Worried about what other people will say if you break out of the ‘norm’? There are always going to be people that will try and talk you out of your heart’s desire for when you gather the mental, emotional and physical strength to courageously live your life purpose, you will shine a light on their miserable existence and they won’t like you for it. But they don’t matter. The people who matter will be the ones who encourage you, stand by and support you. They are the ones that give you wings in order for you to fly. The human soul doesn’t want to be tied down, it wants to soar. Don’t die with your music still in you, let the music out and play it at full volume in 2016 : ) Life Purpose – What is it about these two words when placed together cause such a problem to people? What is it that is blocking you from knowing your life purpose? Have you ever known what it is? Did someone heap scorn upon you when you stated it out loud? Were your hopes and dreams squashed underfoot by perceived responsibility and the dreaded ‘shoulds’? You wanted to do something but felt it was too silly, too impractical. You wanted to do something that felt too outlandish and that wouldn’t earn you a ‘living wage’. Your life purpose was felt too impractical by parents/peers so actually you have never followed your hopes and dreams but have just lived a life that has either been fairly comfortable or felt downright wrong. You are an amazing person, you came here from love and you are love. There is really nothing you ‘need to do’. Don’t struggle or make your life miserable trying to live out what other people expect of you, it’s not worth it. That was then, this is now, this is your life now. Do you want to be present in your life and create a beautiful painting entitled ‘My Life’, or do you want to spend more minutes, hours, days, weeks, years; in fact a whole life time living out someone else’s idea of what your life should be. Don’t let another artist paint your life canvas, you must paint your own. If you are a painter, then paint, if you are a cook, then cook, if you love arranging flowers then be a florist and so on. It’s your passion and when you feel your passion for the things you love doing then you have found your purpose in life – your life purpose. You have this life, you are here now, make it a life that you feel happy living! The courage to live your life purpose, what does this mean? It means letting go of your fears and worries and any hesitancy, not listening to what others think you should do and just going for it! You are a wonderful soul and although part of the whole, you are also an individual. You do not have to be anything but you. No one has the right to force you to live according to their rules and regulations. You have within you the ability to do anything you choose; the ability to climb mountains, whether they are the physical type or the mental and emotional type. It is all there within you. You are a magical being full of love, with a great desire to enjoy your life and experience whatever you want. Any limitations that you believe you have, are there because you don’t think you can be, do or have them or feel you are worthy of them. I assure you from the bottom of my heart, you are worthy of living your life purpose. Do not let anyone try and tell you otherwise. You are going to have to build up your courage muscles. To begin with they will be rather scrawny and small but as time goes on and you follow the passion that is your life purpose, you will develop Arnold Schwarzenegger courage muscles! Stay true to your dreams and desires. Stay true to your gut feeling of knowing what is right for you. There will be days when you don’t feel like pumping courage iron, that’s ok too, there is no hurry. Live in the moment and stay on track, it’s your life and it is you that is painting your life canvas, no one else. From Life Purpose – How To Find Your Reason For Living by Claire H Perkins STOP! Understand this. The separateness you see in others is an illusion. You are part of a whole. The whole of Humankind. Stop Killing NOW There is no difference in any of you. It is an illusion. You are all ONE- Let go of the fear of colour, race, religion. It is an illusion. STOP burying yourselves in hate. Stop immersing yourselves in fear. You are all one. There is no difference. Use love as your strongest emotion. Use love when you see others before you. Use love in every breath, in every word, in every emotion There is too much fear. Too much fear and misunderstanding. But you have to understand that there is no need for fear. You all know each other. You are not strangers. You come from the same place and you will go back to the same place. And there the illusion will fall, there is no separateness. 1.Love and accept yourself totally, you are perfect just as you are, faults ‘n’ all! 2. Deal with your personal history. You can’t change it. Forgive yourself and forgive others. 3. Don’t hold grudges. Don’t live with regret. It’s not worth wasting your life wallowing in these two negative emotions. 4. Be aware of your feelings and emotions for they are your guidance system to life and will tell you at any given moment whether your thoughts are negative or positive even when you are unaware of thinking them! 5. See others through eyes of love. They are the same as you. They came from the same place. There is no separateness, that is an illusion, there is only whole. 6. Look after your body. You can’t experience all the fun of your adventure on earth if you have an unhealthy body. Too much time will be spent worrying about it. 7. Know that whatever happens, you are safe. You can never die. You are part of the whole therefore even though your physical body will eventually die, your ‘essence’ never will. 8. Life is joy and mean to be lived in a joyous state. Do not spend unnecessary time worrying about thing that you have no control over. 9. Be kind. Compliment people. It is just as easy to compliment as to criticise. 10. Don’t keep talking about your fears and worries. You are just adding more fuel to the fire. The more you talk about something the stronger the energy becomes and the universe matches the energy. 11.Don’t get taken in by get rich quick schemes. No one can tell you how to get rich quick, only you know, and it will be something to do with your passions in life. 12. Live each day to the full. Love to the full. Be in joy to the full. Fill each day with as much love and joy that you possibly can. 13. Go to bed each night and count your blessings because you have many more than you think you do! 14. Wake up each morning and before you open your eyes, know that the day ahead will work out beautifully. Set your intent for the day. Our personal history is all the things in our past that has kept us the same. If we don’t want more of the same and in order to move forward to our life purpose, we have to let go of our history. Letting go of our personal history; the bits we’re not so proud of means making peace with the past. Making peace with the people that ‘should-ed’ all over you, making peace with yourself for denying you. Don’t blame yourself, it’s not worth it. The negative experiences in the past have shaped you into becoming the person you are today; the person reading this post. Accept the past for what it was and move forward. Whatever you have done or said before is gone. You can’t go back in time and rub it out. Rather than live in the past, make peace with yourself and forgive yourself. What you have to understand is that each experience you have had has led you to where you are today. It is your choice to either continue with hurtful actions and words towards yourself and other people and be stuck in an uncomfortable life. Stay as you are right now just thinking about working towards your life purpose or actually committing to seeking out and living it. It’s all about you and your choices. Regret for decisions you made in the past is a waste of time. Regret is a powerful emotional energy and becomes a problem when you continually immerse yourself in this thought pattern. It can lead to depression, anxiety and chronic stress. Let go of it, you can’t change it but you can move away from past choices. Each day is a new day where you can start over. In fact each minute and each second are new, they’ll never be repeated again, so you have so many new starts and choices available to you. The courage to live your life purpose, what does this mean? It means letting go of your fears and worries and any hesitancy, not listening to what others think you should do and just going for it! Most of us are beset by fears of ‘what will they think of me?’ what if I make a fool of myself? What if I fail? I have them most definitely, we all do. But there comes a point when you’re either going to carry on the life you have now which is either fairly comfortable or totally wrong or you are going to be on your deathbed and regretting you didn’t live the life you knew you were supposed to because fear was holding you back. You are going to have to get past the fear and the negativity. If you let your fear win and give up on your destiny, you’ll live an unsatisfied life. Don’t give up, take baby steps, you are worthy of your life purpose. There are always going to be people that will try and talk you out of your life purpose, and the reason being is this; your confidence and commitment to living a full life is going to cast a huge light on their unsatisfactory existence. It’s sad but it’s true. Why should you be unhappy with your life just because they are unhappy with theirs? There will be toxic people, spiritually undeveloped individuals that are going to as it were ‘rain on your parade’. Be firm with them or walk away from them, you don’t need to argue with them or to attempt to convert them to your brilliant ideas, they are just not ready and not at the right place yet. Wrap yourself in an invisible cloak of confidence to ward off the naysayers. I am absolutely thrilled to bits! Life Purpose – How To Find Your Reason For Living has been a long time in the making. In fact over twenty five years. Too many fears have held me back; fear of what people would think and say. I refuse to live in fear any longer….so below is a sample of the first chapter. If you like it (and I hope you do) pop along to Kobo or Kindle anddownload it. Its priced at GBP £2.30 (I think about $4.29 USD) You are an amazing being made of pure energy, Before you came into this reality, you were light and joy, everything you wanted you only needed to think about and there it was in your awareness. Every being in this place or reality was also able to have everything they could possibly want and you all co-existed totally harmoniously, well how could you do anything else in a place filled with love, joy and total acceptance. And then what did you decide to do? You decided that you needed some real contrast from the beautiful reality that you resided in and what better contrast than to be born on earth, with all of its wonders, all its horrors and its magnificence; a cornucopia of craziness! You came in wearing this restrictive flesh suit that at first you had no control over whatsoever. You were physically helpless to do anything for yourself and spent most of your early days on earth exercising your new lungs and waking your poor sleep deprived parents from their slumber as you had wet and cold sensations next to your skin. So, many years later here you are standing in a slightly more worn, slightly baggier flesh suit having fearsome doubts about life, your life in particular and its purpose. Don’t worry, you’re not alone in your fears and worries, nor are you alone wondering what are you supposed to be doing in your life as there has to be more to it than this! Dear reader in your lined, scarred and baggier flesh suit, read on and the answers will be revealed to you! You are not alone in wondering about your Life Purpose. There are millions of people on this planet wandering around asking themselves this question, “What is my life purpose?” What am I here for? why am I having this life?”. It doesn’t matter whether they are the poorest of the poor, the richest of the rich, sooner or later this question (if it hasn’t already) is going to hit you. So, what is your answer? Do you know why you’re here? Why you are living in this time and that place where you are right now? What’s been happening in your life so far? Can you say you are fulfilled or are you ‘marking time’? Are you living your life according to you or someone else’s idea of what your life should be? Life Purpose – What is it about these two words when placed together cause such a problem to people? What is it that is blocking you from knowing your life purpose? Have you ever known what it is? Click here to purchase Life Purpose – How To Find Your Reason For Living on Amazon Please note the above is copyrighted under Claire H Perkins I have recently been listening online to various lectures regarding health issues in the 21st Century and to my absolute horror have realised that most of what is being said now, I was thinking ten to fifteen years ago. Why horror you may ask? Because a fear of being thought stupid made me clam up. I have kept ideas inside my head which could have helped people. What is worse is that I know my purpose is to help and heal people. If Wayne Dyer was reading this, I know he would say my EGO had got in the way and he would be totally right, this I now know. Another lesson learned. And just to throw salt on the wound, when I tried to talk to my husband about it, he thought I was watching “another one of those get rich quick shysters on You Tube” Grrrr. Well I’m Grr-ing at myself not him. My own fault there too. The same fear of being laughed at has stopped me talking to him about my interest in this field. (Although why he would think I have any interest in watching ‘get rich quick schemes’ is beyond me!) There I was yesterday writing a post about the limiting belief loop in one’s head and I have just realised one of my biggest limiting fear beliefs! |
